Now we’re extending the range with a dedicated leave-in product for those with fine to medium hair: OI Soufflé, an innovative liquid-to-foam formula that adds body, making it a lightweight addition to OI’s current leave-ins.
OI Soufflé key ingredients
OI Soufflé has been created with a selection of natural ingredients designed to protect fine to medium hair, making it easier to manage and enhance its natural beauty.
Roucou oil has a high concentration of carotenoids, vitamin A and selenium, which have protective and antioxidant properties, which can help reduce damage from treatments and environmental stressors.
Chicory root extract is a plant-based filming agent that helps to detangle hair, making it look and feel softer and silkier to touch.
A mix of amino acids represents a vegetable-based alternative to animal keratin, boosting the hair’s natural amino acids to promote shine and health.

The benefits of OI Soufflé for fine hair
The innovative liquid-to-foam formula makes OI Soufflé weightless. This is ideal for even very fine hair, which can easily be weighed down by standard leave-in products. Combined with its natural active ingredients, this results in hair that looks fuller and feels soft and silky.

Using OI Soufflé in the salon
Apply OI Soufflé to towel dry hair, working through the lengths and ends of the hair before styling. Most hair types and lengths will need 3-4 pumps, although with fine hair it’s best to start with 2 pumps and add more as needed.
OI Soufflé can be used by itself as a stand-alone leave-on for fine hair, or in combination with other OI products according to your customer’s needs. For example, for dry hair in need of softness, finish with OI Oil or OI All in One Milk on the ends of the locks to seal in moisture and add shine.

These rituals are designed to please all the senses, with the iconic OI fragrance playing a starring role and a hand massage to add to the sense of luxury.

STEP 1: Welcoming customers into the salon with the ambient OI fragrance setting the scene, this ritualistic treatment begins with a cleansing hair wash using OI Shampoo.
STEP 2: Next, add OI Liquid Luster for a shiny, silky effect, leaving for a few seconds before rinsing while the customer applies OI Hand Balm to nourish their hands.
STEP 3: Depending on hair type, apply between 2 and 4 pumps of OI Soufflé for extra body and shine before styling as required.
STEP 4: Recommend a home care routine including OI Shampoo, OI Soufflé and OI Oil to finish.

Can OI Soufflé work on medium or thick hair?
OI Soufflé can be used as a stand-alone product or in combination with others from the OI line, making it very versatile. For someone with very fine hair, using it as a substitute for leave-in conditioner after shampooing can be enough. Someone with thicker hair might use it in conjunction with their conditioner, and may use additional products such as OI Oil, OI Hair Butter, or OI All in One Milk.
What is the difference between OI Soufflé and Liquid Spell?
While Liquid Spell is a light treatment which reinforces sensitised fine hair, OI Soufflé is a cosmetic finishing product that boosts body and shine, leaving fine to medium hair feeling softer and silkier. What is Roucou oil?
Roucou oil is extracted from the seeds of the achiote, also called annatto, a plant native to the Amazon. Its high content of carotenoids, vitamin A and selenium gives it protective and antioxidant properties, helping to reduce damage caused by treatments and environmental aggressors. This is why it’s the hero ingredient in the OI range.
