Performance and Sustainability

All the products in the OI line contain oil extracted from Roucou, a plant native to the Amazon, also known as ‘Annatto’. The oil that is extracted from Roucou seeds is very rich in beta-carotene (100 times more than carrots) and has a restructuring action on hair and favors its growth. It significantly decreases the cellular damage caused by UV rays, it prevents aging, and is rich in trace elements. Furthermore, it is rich in ellagic acid, known for its neutralizing power against free radicals.

Creative Concept

The actual meaning of the name is to be sought in the ancient eastern knowledge, where life is in harmony through the balance of opposite forces; the male and female principle, twin opposing cosmetic forces, ying and yang.

Sustainable Packaging

OI line references are produced and packaged in the Davines Village with 100% energy from renewable sources and compensated CO₂ . OI black bottles and jars are made of post-consumer recycled plastic. All OI packaging is recyclable. Carbon-neutral packaging by adhering to EthioTrees, a proprietary CO₂ compensation project. The carbon dioxide emissions generated by the production of the packaging are offset by the protection and reforestation of nature reserves in the northern region of Tigray in the Tembien Highlands, Ethiopia, which is at risk of desertification.
